What are the benefits of blogging for students?
In today's world students are subjected to a vast array of choices when it comes to the ability to voice their views and opinions "online" or in cyberspace. Blogging is just another example of one of these choices and with this choice comes a few benefits. The first benefit for students is that are simply getting more exposure and practice with the skills of publishing to digital media. Knowing how to navigate, create, edit and ultimately publish in our rapidly advancing technological world is a big asset. The second benefit would be that blogging is a journalistic tool that gives students a way to publish news, ideas, announcements and a wide variety of information while working on their writing skills and journalism skills. Finally, information flows at a near instantaneous rate in our today's news cycle and a blog allows students to put out information and news much faster than a traditional publication.
